STYLES
Hatha we offer an approach to Hatha Yoga that emphasizes mindful movement and healthy alignment as postures are explored in depth. Grow in awareness through the practice of movement, breath work and guided relaxation. Instructors provide hands on adjustments.
Flow emphasizes the coordination of breath and movement through the practice of Sun Salutations and other flowing sequences of postures. Students should be comfortable with Sun Salutations A and B and have an understanding of the foundation poses. Classes can be slow to fast-paced.
Power Flow Yoga a vigorous, fast-paced approach to yoga using explosive and dynamic movements. Suitable for those who are already comfortable in a Flow practice, who are physically fit and have a good understanding of the poses.
Warm Yin/Restorative Yoga A quiet, meditative practice - and the perfect compliment to more dynamic and muscular styles of yoga. Postures are done lying passively on the floor in a heated room. The combination of long-held, passive stretching and infrared heat works to improve flexibility and joint mobility. This practice is suitable for students of all levels, from Beginner to Advanced.
Yoga Tune Up breaks down the nuts and bolts of human movement using a yogic lens of awareness, conscious relaxation, self-massage and breathing techniques to bring students to an intimate understanding of their own bodies. For long time students of yoga, it helps to simplify the body into basic building blocks and identifies areas of the body that have been underused and lacking awareness. For students new to practice, they can use the same building blocks to totally train and inhabit their body joint by joint and breath by breath.
Private Classes are an ideal way to learn the basics, deepen an existing practice or address specific needs or physical limitations. It is also a fun and intimate way to practice yoga on your own or with your friends! Please talk to us about how we can customize a class for you or your group.
